Surplus rifle rounds are tested with a bolt cutter! (need to call them about this. I forgot the equation.
If round snips softly is/is not magnetic or if it shatters is/is not magnetic).
A bullet can be magnetic (due to casing or some metal mix) but still pass the bolt cutter test. Again, call to clarify.

The mothership of military surplus rifle information. How to disassemble and reassemble step by step with photos.
Mosin Nagants, Mausers, Enfields, Garands, Krags and EVERYTHING else.
Best place I have found to compare ammo and gun pricing! I start my price shopping here. (ammo vendor links) I buy 90% of my ammo online from here. With $10 coupons, price is normally lower.
Some items are back ordered but notification is excellent and they always give you a way to cancel shipment.
Never had a problem and I recommend to others. in Fort Worth, TX. I purchased my Mosin Nagants M44, 91/30 and Mausers here. I solved many 22 rifle feeding problems with this stuff. It really works.
Also apply to all my weapons as lubricant of choice. See the tecnnology explanation.

Berdan Primer and Boxer Primer Differences

"Boxer" primers are the most commonly used commercial priming system.
The primers itself has a cup and "anvil" and the primer pocket in the case has one flash hole in the center of the pocket.
This makes it easy to punch out the old primer with a simple pin punch.

"Berdan" primers do not use the "anvil", it is formed into the case head and thus there are two flash holes on either side of the anvil.
This makes the Berdan much harder to reload.

Generally, Berdan ammo is regarded as unreloadable by most U.S. shooters.
American commercial ammo (Remington, Winchester, Federal) is boxer primed and reloadable (in most cases).
Military surplus ammo is almost always Berdan primed and not reloadable.
Many overseas ammo manufacturers (Wolf, Prvi) are starting to produce new boxer primed ammo (brass and steel cased)
for the American commercial market. If steel cased, is usually not reloadable.

Loctite (Green, Blue and Red) Differences
I am not an expert on this but from what I can figure out:
Green Uncle Mike's Gun Loctite - what I use on my Mosin Nagant screws to keep them from rattling out while shooting.
Is called 'green' loctite but when you squirt out is colored blue. Green loctite will let you remove the screw or bolt.
Use on your scope rings and scope mounts, too.
Blue Loctite - is removable. Not sure what the difference is between Uncle Mike's green gun loctite.
Red Loctite - do not use on firearms unless you want to take a torch to remove (according to one website I read).
Not removable.
